Mother-in-law closes tomatoes in Finnish for winter, guests drink marinade to a drop

Delicious and beautiful Finnish tomatoes for winter They are also called tomatoes under the snow. Have you seen snowballs that sell very well at Christmas? These tomatoes look pretty much the same. The secret is in chopped garlic!

This dish, or rather preservation, can be prepared even by a novice hostess. Yes, at least a child, provided that he will be given assistance in sterilizing glass cans. Some even manage to decorate them with ribbons and give them to neighbors. Today we will talk only about cooking. Here we go.

Finnish tomatoes for winter Ingredients
  • 6kg tomatoes
  • 3 heads of garlic
  • 18 peas of black pepper
  • 7 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 4 tbsp salt
  • 12 tbsp sugar
  • 5 liters of water

Preparation
  1. First thing we do is heat the water. It is necessary that 5 liters of boiling water, that is, clean, good water, were in a deep pan. Meanwhile, the tomatoes are placed in dry and clean cans. We pour boiling water to the edges of the cans and leave it so for 5 minutes. Let them sweat. By the way, we recommend piercing each tomato with a toothpick. That's definitely not how they browse.

  2. We put peas in the jars. No need to grind anything, we have a simple but delicious recipe. In general, the simpler the recipe, the more delicious the result is. Add the same amount of vinegar.

  3. Let's make the brine. To do this, we pour hot water from the cans. Put sugar and salt in it, and then bring the solution to a boil. We crush the garlic or cut it finely.

  4. That's all, actually. We pour the solution with garlic on the banks, to the very edges, and cover it with a lid. Next, it would be nice to dip the cans in boiling water so that they are sterilized. Close the lid tightly, cover with a blanket and give time to cool down. The tomatoes are Finnish ready for winter.

We recommend considering this simple snack as an addition to the side dishes of potatoes, buckwheat, rice and other cereals. Also, tomatoes do not harm hot meat or ordinary cutting.

This whole thing will take a minimum of time. Interestingly, no branches or umbrellas of dill or parsley are needed here. Tomatoes will acquire a rich taste with a shade of garlic. That's all. They can even be ground to make more complex sauces or something like that. Winter will be delicious and cozy.
