Just a few days ago, Ukrainians noticed that store-price changed. In some stores, it is impossible to find salt. What caused this? Will Ukraine really feel a shortage of salt in the near future? Should I go to the store and buy all the salt at once?

It is necessary to make it clear to yourself that somewhere you will need to save, give up something or replace it with an alternative option.

The fact is that the Ukrainian monopolist for the production of salt, the enterprise Artemsol, forced to stop work indefinitely. The fighting takes place in close proximity to the place of salt production - the city of Soledar.

The management of Artemsol explained that it was forced to stop production due to the danger to its employees. The missiles of the occupiers have already arrived in the administrative buildings of the enterprise, in warehouses and in salt mines. It was decided to evacuate the workers, to avoid irreparable.



Moreover, the lion’s share of Artemsol products was sent by rail. It's not safe now either. It is possible to export salt by trucks, but it is not economically feasible. You need a lot of cars, fuel, professional drivers. Because Ukrainian salt was exported Poland, Hungary, Moldova, Romania, Azerbaijan. Artemsol is the largest salt mining enterprise in Europe.



Only after hearing this, many citizens rushed to the shops and immediately bought up everything that was on the shelves. Should we do that? Nope. Panic creates unnecessary excitement, people are afraid, so they stock up on everything they need. But to be honest, salt is not cereal or pasta. Of course, without salt, it will taste bad. Just to store it in your own kitchen is also not necessary.

Undoubtedly, you can use both ordinary stone and sea salt for cooking. At the same time, sea salt is not suitable for various pickles due to its enrichment with mineral elements. Just do not forget that there is a war in Ukraine. Many things are no longer commonplace.
