Dmitry Komarov’s piercing report on what Kiev looks like now

Kyiv traveler and journalist Dmitry Komarov By the age of 38 he had traveled the world. And in his author’s TV project “The World Inside Out”, the man for many years acquainted millions of viewers with those countries that ordinary tourists rarely get to.

In the last month, Dmitry Komarov shows, What does Kiev look like now? After a few weeks of war. The journalist shows piercing reports on his Instagram. And looking at these pictures without shuddering is difficult. Especially those people who have been to the capital of Ukraine before and saw these cozy streets unscathed.

From the first days of hostilities, when Dmitry Komarov published footage of shelling residential areas of Kiev and appealed to stop the war, the Russian part of the audience mostly refused to believe his words. The favorite host was accused of lying, offered to show what is really happening.

In response, the journalist himself came to the house destroyed by a rocket, where he recorded a short video against the background of the destruction. Although regular viewers of Russian state TV channels and these footage do not seem convinced. After all, instead of words of sympathy and repentance, new incoherent accusations against Dmitry himself followed.

True, the negative under Komarov’s posts became less and less every day. Perhaps the reason for this was the blocking of social networks in Russia. Or perhaps television is no longer able to explain the country’s rapid decline in living standards and the Kremlin’s madness.

Whatever it was, but Dmitry Komarov himself continues to show the horror that happened to go through the Ukrainian capital in recent weeks.

And these are just a few shots from Dmitry Komarov's reporting on what happened in his native Kiev. Large and small settlements throughout Ukraine have suffered even greater destruction. For example, in Kharkov, the war destroyed more than 1,500 buildings, and Chernihiv and Mariupol were almost wiped off the face of the earth.

The war started by the Russian authorities continues. As a result, the destruction is increasing, and the losses of all parties continue to grow. How, then, should we take the words of the elderly Kremlin figures who claim that everything is going “strictly according to plan”? And how can any decent person support this plan?
