Photographer from the United States changed his mind to eat lobster and put him at home in an aquarium, a new friend on YouTube earns a lot of money
Everyone has heard that a dog is a man’s best friend. But not everyone would agree. And not just because they gave their hearts to cats forever. Some people think dogs and cats are too trivial. So, David Beckham keeps dwarf pigs, Nicole Kidman - long-necked alpaca, and Arnold Schwarzenegger even allows donkey Lulu and a pony named Whiskey to eat from his table. Do you think these are unusual pets? Do not jump to conclusions until you meet the favorite of American photographer Brady Brandwood!
One day Brady bought a lobster in the seafood department. The claws of the ten-legged inhabitant of the ocean depths were connected, and he himself barely showed signs of life.

The man decided that the animal deserves a better fate, gave the new pet the name Leon and put him in the aquarium. At first, the lobster could not even move its huge claws: due to hunger and forced immobility, its muscles partially atrophied.
But careful care and abundant food brought fruit. Soon viewers of the YouTube channel Brady noticed how the lobster returned its bright color. He became more mobile and like a domestic cat amusingly cleaned the shell with small legs.
Within two weeks, the claws had almost recovered. And so that Leon used his main weapon more often, Brandwood started a game with him. The man lowered a plastic “claw” into the aquarium, and the lobster grabbed it and demonstrated something like underwater armwrestling.
At the same time, fans of Leon are sure that the lobster guesses that this is just a game. Otherwise, he would react more aggressively and use his second claw. “He's so cute. I want more people to understand that these sentient beings are capable of experiencing pleasure and pain and are just trying to live like the rest of us.
“I think Leon now looks a lot better and is probably one of the luckiest lobsters in the world.” A recent amendment to the British Animal Welfare Act considers octopuses, squid, lobsters and crabs to be sentient and prohibits suffering.

In the comments, the photographer was asked to release Leon into the ocean. But Brandwood thought it wasn't a good idea. First, he doesn't know if it's a local species. And if not, then the lobster released will never be able to find a mate. Second, releasing Leon makes sense only far from the shore. Otherwise, it can quickly become a victim of other marine life.

Instead, the arthropod YouTube star will be moved to a more spacious aquarium and may even find a girlfriend for him. And we hope that Leon will live a long life and look forward to Brady’s exciting new videos with his amazing pet.
