A craftsman with experience bleaches cones to create a holiday atmosphere at home for pennies

Prepare for New Year’s Eve crafts in advance. I have plans for a New Year's wreath, and a candlestick, and garlands of cones, and a couple of other interesting things. Except I need white bumps. With them, the decor looks more winter and stylish.

At first, I decided to buy white cones in a decor store, but then, seeing their price, I realized that I would have to do my own thing. I came across the Internet. lifehack And I decided to try. I’ll tell you in advance, I had to tinker, but the result was worth it!

Today's edition. "Site" I'll tell you how you can. bleach at home. All craftsmen on notice!

White cones The very first secret: look for freshestNot rotten or stained with earth or sand. It is better to take cones with thin scales (larch, spruce), they are easier to bleach. The cones should be as clean as possible.

Before you start bleaching, dry the cones and let them open. Night on the battery is enough. Especially now that the heating is turned on, beauty! Then take an old toothbrush and brush it between the scales of the cone to completely get rid of the sand or any other debris.

Next, you need to take a solution of chlorine (whiteness is also suitable) and the cones themselves, which are well opened. Put the cones in a jar and fill them with solution. Press the bumps so they don't pop up. Close this case with a lid, so as not to feel the smell of chlorine in the apartment. You can put a jar of cones in solution on the balcony.

Leave it for the night. But more than 9 hours to leave cones in this solution is not recommended, as they will become brittle.

It all depends on your patience. The cones need to be removed again, dried again until they open, and again poured with a fresh solution of whiteness. Experienced craftsmen say that success snow-white It depends on alternation: drying with opening and pouring a fresh solution of whiteness.

All the bumps I had bleached differently, some better, some worse. Note that the cones can brighten in 3 hours, and after 24 hours, it all depends on the whiteness.

After you have satisfied the result, drain the whiteness and wash the cones with running water. Then put it on paper and leave to dry: opened, then dried. If the smell remains, then with the help of essential fir oil and water it is easy to get rid of it: pour this solution into the spray gun and spray the cones.
