Out of kindness I lent my husband’s sister my dress, and back I got a spoiled thing.

My husband has a sister, Anya. She and I are the same age, so she thinks we are meant to be loyal friends. But that's not at all true. Moreover, Anya does not cause the most pleasant feelings in me. Simply put, she makes me very angry. Let me explain why.



First of all, Anya is a very energetic and noisy girl. There is always a lot of her, wherever she is. She likes to talk and talk about nonsense. I like a more relaxed pastime. Secondly, the husband’s sister is not the most careful person. She visited our house once. My husband and I gave her a separate room. So for all 2 weeks, while Anya lived with us, she never cleaned there.

But this is nothing compared to what happened recently. I am a seamstress by profession, but I also design my clothes. I love creating new things that are unlike anything else. Most of the time I sit at home and work, sewing to order.



I often make clothes for myself. And this is the very clothes Anya always begs me. Then she needs to go to a corporate party for her birthday. But she doesn't realize that she and I are a little different, at least. At most, I don’t like to lend my stuff to anyone.

But Ana doesn't care. Her main argument in all disputes is: “Katya, we are relatives!” Does that automatically make us so close that I have to give her my clothes? That's crazy! Often I refused as much as I could, but the last time Anya pushed me too hard.

I finally agreed to give her my new dress. My husband’s sister wanted to go to the wedding. By the way, I have never worn this dress myself. And as it turns out, I'm not wearing it anymore. After the event, Anya returned my dress. I immediately noticed that something was wrong with him.



It was seen that he was washed as if trying to remove some stain on his chest. In one place, it looks like it’s still there. So when I saw my thing, I was just furious. I said I'd never give anything to Ana again, even if I didn't ask for it.

The next day my mother-in-law called me and began to scold me. We can’t do this to our relatives, we’re one family. I politely listened to my mother-in-law’s emotional screams and offered my own solution. If Ana likes my clothes so much, let her bring fabric and accessories, I'll make whatever she wants for her.



Of course, this also did not suit the mother-in-law: “What are you doing?” The fabrics are so expensive, where Anya will buy them for you. You're crazy! Yeah, that's it. It turns out that I have money on the fabric for the whole family, but my husband’s sister does not have them for her beloved. Let him wear his clothes and leave me alone!

Since then, neither Anna nor my mother-in-law have called me. In fact, they stopped communicating with us. Even my husband is not invited to family holidays. I admit, I'm very happy. I immediately felt so relieved! And why didn't I do it sooner?

People like to refer to their family ties to get what they need. But in real life, it doesn’t mean anything. No one is obliged to lend another his personal belongings just because he is a relative. Especially if this relative is not the most careful person.
