How to change your attitude to life
Every day we wake up in the morning, rush to work and rush to our very important business. We take all this seriously and are afraid to appear stupid or look ridiculous. Only most often it brings us not joy, but stress and tension. Sage Sadhguru says that this is because of our extreme seriousness.
Today. "Site" He wants to share with you the sage’s thoughts on how to learn to enjoy life.
The sage Sadhguru was asked what to do with people who take everything too seriously. Do they need to do something about it and how to change their attitude? The wise man has given an answer, and each of us should listen.
He began with a parable: “A Sufi master lived in Basra. One day someone asked the master to become a student, but he refused. After that, many people were asked to become students to the master. More and more important and famous people began to come to him, but he refused everyone. Because of this, he became very famous and the fame of him flew very far.
Once a famous theologian, a connoisseur of all sacred books, came to the master and also asked to become a student. The theologian insisted that the master should share his wisdom, because he knows something that no one else knows. However, the Sufi master replied, “I do not take you as a student, not because I do not want to, but because you do not want to.” The theologian protested and began to assure that he was ready for training.
The master accepted the assurances of the theologian and agreed to take him for training. He brought a piece of dirty cloth and gave it to the theologian, saying that he should get rid of his clothes and put it on like a loincloth. He then gave him an empty jar and told him to put it around his neck.
The master said, "I'll give the subject of mint candy. That's how you go to the market. The boys will laugh and throw stones at you, and you will smile at each of them and give them candy.
The theologian was taken aback and said that he could not do this, because he did not know what they would think, if he decided to walk around the city in such a dress. The master shrugged his shoulders and said, “I told you you wouldn’t like my teaching.” And the big question here is: do you need a teaching that you like, or one that will transform you?
We all think we’re too serious and we can’t do anything stupid. Sadhguru is convinced that this is what we need to do in the first place: to become unserious. To become unserious, you have to be ridiculous and not be afraid of it. Can you get up and dance right now? Not doing a beautiful dance, but just dancing like you can, even if it's ridiculous?
Sadhguru says, “Just relax a little bit, laugh a little bit more, be with the people around you, do whatever seems insignificant to you.” Don't do very important things. When you do serious things, you become very serious.”
It is clear that we can not stop going to work, the wise man and does not call us to this. You just have to take it easy. Bertrand Russell once said, “If you think your job is important, you should take a vacation.”
And vacation doesn't mean going somewhere. Vacation is every 24 hours. Every day you need to take a vacation from your seriousness. Where does it come from? Seriousness comes from a sense of self-worth. We think of ourselves as important people, very important people, but in reality, everyone is a grain of sand in the universe.
Today we are, we are doing our important things, but the truth is that if we are gone, the universe will not change. No one will notice except a couple of the closest people, but the world will continue to exist. Life will go on without you. Each of us should remember this at any time in our lives.
Sadhguru says, It doesn’t matter what the world says about you. It doesn’t matter how important your job is. You have to understand that no matter who you are, the world will be beautiful without you. If you keep reminding yourself of this, you will have no reason to be serious.
But what is the meaning of life, you ask? Sadhguru responded in one of his videos.

The words of the wise man impressed us greatly. His worldview amazes and delights at the same time. We have nothing to say, because he is absolutely right. These are not some complicated and incomprehensible things, no, these are banal truths that each of us needs to realize. When we understand all this, we will learn. live. What do you think?
