Quite unusual today looks the fact that the husband, who is completely free to make Grebeshkova the main character, filmed her only in episodes.

Leonid Gaidai died on November 19, 1993. Nina Pavlovna often recalls a conversation they had recently had. “Ninok, I need to repent before you!” I got tense inside and thought, ‘Aha, I’m going to start talking about my male weaknesses!’ And he said, "I've never cast you in the lead role." I just smiled: “What are you, Lena!” How many paintings do you have? Eighteen... And I have sixty.

It has been 27 years since Leonid Iovich was not with us. Over the years, Grebeshkova starred in 40 more films. Surprisingly, she considers it a merit of her husband: I am sure that he cares about me in heaven, sends the directors his thoughts: Take Nina, let her film! Or do you think my Ninka can't handle it? . . ?

Nina Pavlovna is an amazingly positive and bright person. She once told reporters about her main rule, which for many years allowed her to remain optimistic and cheerful: Remember: no matter what happened in life, no matter how bad people say about you and no matter what bad people do, always think this way: This fact is not mine, but their biography, it has nothing to do with me. Evil does not concern me.”

And finally, another life-affirming quote from Grebeshkova: “Modern people are very pragmatic, they communicate with you and immediately think: “What will I get from this?” And it's unusual for me. But in one thing, this generation is close to me - you can not take anything too seriously. We have to live easy”.
