And can you eat tomatoes? From the store in winter? The ones that don't smell like plastic at all and stay in the fridge for months with little or no change? We want to put all the points on the "i": of course, it is possible.

There's no poison in them. As, unfortunately, is the benefit. These are greenhouse tomatoes that are brought to us, for example, from China. They contain very few vitamins and are suitable only for decorating dishes. They will not eat, but they will not taste good.

Is It Possible to Eat Tomatoes So Is That Why These Tomatoes Are Only Good For Decoration? We explain: they can be preserved, but it is economically unprofitable. It is much easier to close cheap and natural tomatoes in the summer. Tomato juice is not an option either for the same reasons.

You can blanch them and crush them into a homogeneous mass. It's not bad for pasta, though, to be honest, it tastes so good. But don't be discouraged. You can still try to improve their taste with one culinary trick.

The ingredients
  • tomatoes
  • warm-water
  • knife
  • sugar
  • vegetable-oil

Preparation
  1. With warm water and brush, wash each tomato. You need to remove the layer of wax that is applied to fruits and vegetables before transportation. In fact, it is a thin layer of wax that creates the impression of a “plastic product”.

  2. Next, cut off all the damaged parts of the fruit and the green part, the place of attachment of the peduncle, too. Who knows how long it's been since they came, it's better to be safe.
  3. Now cut the tomato into pieces and fall asleep in a deep container. Sprinkle with sugar and pour a little vegetable oil. Such manipulations will reveal the taste of tomatoes as much as possible. And sugar also has a beneficial effect on the texture of the fruit. 10 minutes in the fridge and the tomatoes can be tasted and added to the salad.

It is worth mentioning the “terrible and terrible” hydroponics. There is no need to be afraid of it, because experts have long proven that it does not affect the taste or smell of tomatoes in any way. As a result, you will get delicious fragrant fruits.
