Hyperloop Transportation Technologies is building the first passenger capsule

Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HTT) has started to build the first full-sized passenger capsule. The company plans to complete work next year and immediately show the result.

The capsule will be used in a commercial system, which HTT has promised soon to tell. The company is negotiating with several potential clients: she wants to find places where there is a sense of realization of the project vacuum trains to transport people at high speeds and over long distances.

Engineers will make some final touches to the work in the research center in the French city of Toulouse. After that the capsule will are not announced to the client. The construction involved partner HTT — Carbures, a Spanish company.

Length of the capsule will be approximately 30 meters, diameter — 2.7 meters, weight — 20 tons. It will fit from 28 to 40 passengers, depending on configuration. The vehicle can move at speeds of up to 1223 km/h HTT CEO Dirk Ahlborn (Dirk Ahlborn) said that ensuring the full safety of the passengers is one of the main goals of the company.

Carbures has received the opportunity to work on a unique engineering design and test your expertise in aerospace technology. The Hyperloop system is in many ways similar to a plane: both vehicles move in low pressure and reduced use of friction to achieve high speeds.

HTT has concluded agreements with representatives of Abu Dhabi, Slovakia and the Czech Republic regarding the potential installation of their systems. Its main competitor, the Hyperloop One, as the first full-scale client project is going to create a system of commercial freight traffic between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. published
