Never light these candles at home!

We often light candles for beauty or just a pleasant aroma. The variety of candles in supermarkets is amazing. But most people do not even realize that ordinary and flavored candles can be extremely dangerous.

This is because of the soot produced by candles. Studies have shown that premature deaths are directly related to soot in the environment. Soot particles cause 20,000 deaths each year. Soot also causes 300,000 asthma attacks each year, with about 2 million days off from work due to respiratory problems.

Megan Buddha felt the impact of soot on health after a few hours lit 2 candles. The next day, she noticed black spots that appeared on the inside of her nose. The worst thing awaited her after.

“I took the baby to feed and noticed that everything was black inside my nostrils,” Meghan said.
Meghan cleaned the baby’s nose as best she could, and then took this photo, which shows these black spots.

The origin of these spots remained a mystery to Meghan until she picked up one of the burnt candles. Then she realized that the spots were the soot from the candles they had inhaled the day before.

Candles contain paraffin, a product of petroleum waste. When burning, paraffin emits toxins that are no less dangerous than cigarette smoke. That is why most candles have a label that says not to use candles for longer than 3 hours. If you ignore the warning, you risk inhaling all these toxins in the same way Meghan and the baby did. Black spots in their nostrils may be a symptom of a larger problem: toxins in their lungs.

But the harm of candles is not only associated with paraffin. According to Dr. Edward Grope, many candles have wicks with one of the most toxic components in nature, lead.

You won’t find this in candles produced in North America after 2003, but it’s still a problem for manufacturers in other countries. When you set fire to the wick, it releases lead vapors that easily penetrate the lungs and other organs.

The truth is that scented candles do not have a positive effect on the air quality in your home. It is better to use more effective natural options, such as essential oils or beeswax candles. published
