In China first experienced a suspension train on the monorail

On Friday 30 September, the Chinese transport workers conducted the first tests of monorail hanging railway line. Test-in was held in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province in southwest China. Interestingly, the quality of the design of the cars chosen was the appearance of a Panda.
Suspended wagon the modules are driven by electric drive power which comes from lithium-ion batteries. The train has a maximum speed of 60 km per hour and, according to the developers, successfully drove on the test track length of 300 meters.

Besides, one of the main advantages of this mode of transport is its environmental friendliness.
The next step will be to increase the monorail of the test site to 1.2 km away. the Chinese engineers have to pay special attention to the work train on the ascents, and turns, and to develop a solution for fast charging stations.
It is worth noting that one of the earliest examples of an electric suspended railway system is the line in the German city of Wuppertal. This suspended monorail was opened in 1901 and is still in operation. published
