"Dancing" fountain in Dubai is one of the largest and tallest fountains in the world. It is located on an artificial lake near the Burj Khalifa, whose total area is 30 acres.


The author of project of this fountain is WET Design company from California, which developed similar fountain in Las Vegas. For illumination of this fountain is used 6600 lamps and 25 color projectors. The equal length of the fountain is 275 m and the height of water is 150 m. the Fountain dances to the accompaniment of the world, classic and modern Arabic songs.


The price of building of the fountain totaled $ 218 million. A second fountain in Dubai can levitate about 83 000 litres of water. The sheen from the lights of the fountain is visible for 20 miles around. The singing fountain consists of a plurality of water jets and shooters, special robots, which are under high pressure lift water up to more than 75 meters and cause the fountain to dance. But shooters are only used during performances, as they need time to discharge pressure. Every day held a Grand show, which consist of dancing water, music and light.


It can be seen from all the surrounding neighborhoods. Performances are every 20 minutes starting from 18:00 to 22:00 on weekdays and from 18:00 to 23:00 at weekends.
