Multifunctional eco-friendly umbrellas

Outside the window the November damp, so without an umbrella – not a step! However, the umbrella the umbrella discord: to highlight your creations on the General background and care of the environment, green designers make them from recycled plastic bottles and just out of junk, offer to drink rain water from the umbrella to illuminate the way with energy of the falling drops.

Argentine design Studio "SynopsisTaking" has created a multifunctional umbrella "Filterbrella", which not only protects the owner from the sun and rain, but also collects rainwater in the manner of some tropical plants. Getting into the Central part of the "dome" drops headlong into the funnel-shaped recess and the tube (the handle of an umbrella) rush into the tank. They used an ordinary bottle, which is screwed to the handle just as easily as if it were a cork. "Who would think to drink rainwater in our century?" — obviously, you ask. But do not rush to criticize the invention: the designers have thought about this and had built in umbrella filter. Yes, and it is not necessary to use the collected water for drinking – it can be washed by hand or, for example, to water the flowers.

The design Duo of Ricky TARIS (Rizki Tarisa) and Maximilian aji Vijaysena (Maximilian Aji Wijoyoseno) have developed a multipurpose device, "BUMBOO", which can be used as a cane, a stick for garbage collection, umbrella (if you open a "parachute") either as a hard pillow for sitting on damp grass, cool concrete, etc (for this umbrella need to clean and "stick" to lay down several times). It seems that for the Saturdays and nature walks are generally a thing irreplaceable!

Meet the umbrella "LightDrops" (Drops of light) from designer sang-Kyun Park (Sang-Kyun Park). The idea is simple, but very effective: when the rain is pattering on the umbrella disclosed, the conductive PDVF membrane convert potential energy of droplets to electrical – which powers a led light bulb-tablets. The stronger the rain, the brighter shines the umbrella (and if grad starts?) Day this little light just lifts the mood and evening will help the owner faster to find your way, read a book or seen a tourist map, and at the same time protect it from careless drivers of cars.

But such umbrellas are born literally from garbage: they are collected from the packaging of toothpaste, detergent, fruit juices and other products which cannot be recycled because of their insidious multi-layer structure. A small company "Monsoon Vermont" was founded in 2005 by Julia Genatossio (Julia Genatossio), Jakarta (Indonesia), and then creates a different utility from waste: shower curtains and computer covers, backpacks and beach bags, umbrellas and wallets. This debris collect on sidewalks, in parks or find among garbage heaps; then disinfect and sew the threads into a colorful collage. Umbrellas and other crafts "Monsoon Vermont" not only rid the world of different stuff, but also provide local jobs for residents. Besides, they are able to make human life a little brighter and remind others about the need to protect nature.
