Three cups of coffee a day can lead to blindness

American researchers have found that drinking more than 3 cups of coffee daily may significantly increase the risk of deterioration of vision and occurrence of blindness.
Even a slight consumption of this drink leads to destruction of the retina and development of glaucoma.
Glaucoma occurs when the drainage tubes within the eye is blocked, causing increased intraocular pressure. This can affect the optic nerve that connects the eye to the brain.



The experiments were performed with 150 thousand people over the age of 30 in the US and the UK, show that coffee can increase intraocular pressure, causing a blow to the condition of the eyesight and contribute to the development of glaucoma.
Moreover, such results are not obtained when the absorption of different kind of foods and beverages that contain caffeine, tea, Cola, or chocolate.





Remember that coffee and carries beneficial properties. Cold coffee can increase libido both in men and women, say experts from the American South-West Institute.
