How does a prosthetic hand, printed on a 3D printer

Enthusiasts Richard Wang and Ivan Owen invented an inexpensive prosthetic for children with a congenital defect of the fingers, the cost of which amounted to only $150.

Interestingly, the novelty is printed on a 3D printer, what could account for such a small price. One of the four owners of the robotic arm, a boy named Liam.

In total, the project involved 4 children who have previously received for testing a new prosthesis. It is noteworthy that the project developer lost his fingers during an accident at a timber factory. This is what led him to the creation of Robohand.
