Electricity from noodles: Japan launches new power plant

In Japan, the representative of the Japanese Corporation "Ğ¡hiyoda sogr" testing the installation, which generates electricity using as a source of energy... Udon noodles. Udon is a type of noodle made from wheat flour, which is quite famous among the Japanese and has great range. Particularly famous for its Udon Prefecture Kagawa that is why the first test installation was placed there in Takamatsu.



The power plant is a large tank with a height of eight meters, which at a temperature of 37 degrees fermented noodle and food waste. After this chemical reaction produces a huge amount of combustible gas methane. As reported by the developers, one such power plant can produce 180,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, enough to provide 50 small households.
