The trio of unlikely substances, from which you can make a fabric
Most of the clothing is made from cotton, rayon or jeans, but every year there are new amazing materials of origin from which sew comfortable, durable and lightweight clothing. Here are some of the types of fabrics manufactured by revolutionary technology.
1. Fermented wine
A curious matter, which is called "Micro'be" born with a painter on fabrics Donna Franklin and scientist Gary Kaas. Once, traveling with a friend around Australia, Kaas noticed the VAT of tainted wine, the surface of which gathered elastic pellicle, which was similar to thin leather, quite durable. Cellulose film emerged in the course of life acetogenic bacteria that convert ethanol into acetic acid. The scientist decided that the wine from this material can be fabric and he began the experiments.
2. Waste from the production of tofu
Increasing popularity of clothes from a fabric, which is obtained from waste products of soy cheese tofu. A significant portion of this market has taken a material called "Sоysilk", which make, diluting the soy protein and pressing it through the holes, then placing a thin thread, which make the painting.
"Soysilk" (eng. "soy silk") is sometimes also called "vegetable cashmere" because of its extraordinary softness. Often, "soy silk" is used only in combination with other types of fibers, because it is not distinguished by particular strength.
3. Nettle
Scientists from the University of De Montfort in the UK made fabric, which consists partly of plants to which many childhood feel hatred. But the material that use fiber nettle was more durable than cotton, non-flammable and available, as the nettle grows well without the use of chemical fertilizers and does not need more moisture.
