Unique chess Board "Dogs vs. cats"

Admirer of chess from the city of Miass (Chelyabinsk oblast) Alexander Milnikov decided to embody the eternal opposition of dogs and cats on a chess Board. The idea of creating a game with cats and dogs due to by chance seen the stone figurines of these animals in the shop at the reserve. Alexander almost the entire collection – 32 pieces, size and nature of the relevant gaming figures. The name game was "Dogs vs cats".





Author of chess with non-traditional shapes notes that correspond to specific figurines chess pieces based on their images: "Some cats and dogs have a more important and serious, so I made them Queens and kings. Those smaller ones become pawns".





Game figurines is somewhat different from the game we all familiar figures – they are much heavier than their traditional counterparts, and require additional attention, because opponents differ by shape, not color. The player admits that he often heard the suggestion to paint figurines, but always refuses the offer, the stone figures look more significant, which makes the game more exciting. By the way, Alexander prefers to take the side of the dogs to get the cats to a standstill.
