To create a sensual undulating lampshades by Danish design Duo Iskos Berlin was inspired by the famous wind-blown dress of Marilyn Monroe. The lamp is made without any glue or resin. Using a process called thermoforming, the designers create sensual shapes that look as if hovering in the air. Lampshades Birthday Marilyn aroused interest among visitors to Milan design week this year.

 




Inspired by the new production technologies and properties of felt, designers Iskos Berlin intends to explore the development path with minimal cost. In the experiment with the shaping of natural materials, they created a whole array of wavy shades that look as if torn from the dresses of the famous Marilyn Monroe. Their dynamic form and the lack of structural support gives sensual playfulness is a feeling of lightness.
