Photo-report - Ecohome of samana for 1.4 thousand dollars
An interesting example of a samana house was built by active supporters of the green movement in Thailand.
The main goal of the experiment is to provide housing for a growing population using existing resources.
The house was built on the site of the old, 3x6 meters in size.
Step 1. Calculate the number of bricks for construction. For this purpose, wooden forms of 20 x 40 x 10 cm in size of 5 blocks in each were created.
Step 2. Composition of material for somali blocks. In the samana went a mixture of raw rice, clay soil and water.
Step 3. When the right amount of samana blocks were made, they were left to dry for a week under the sun. After a week, they are turned over and dried for another week.
Step 4. The somali blocks were put on a clay solution and rubbed tightly into the blocks.
Step 5. Wooden roof. The frame was made with large ledges to hide the walls from moisture and rain.
Step 6. The frame was beaten with tarnished branches and smeared with clay solution.
Step 7. When the roof was finished, they began to plaster.
Small openings for ventilation were made in the room.
The bathroom was tiled.
The doorway was decorated with decoration.
A month later, when the clay dried up, the house was decorated with colorful drawings.
