Popular Fitness Myths
Much of what we know about fitness is far from the truth. For example:
Myth 1: To make the stomach embossed, you need to pump the press
Effective for the abdominal press are considered cardio exercises, diet and gymnastics to strengthen the whole body. Pumping abs is bad for the spine.
Myth 2: You can burn fat in any area of the body.
If we want to lose weight in a certain part of the body, we have to eliminate fat everywhere.
Myth 3: It is better to give preference to sports simulators than dumbbells and bars
Most simulators do not mimic the natural movements of the body, and their improper use will do more harm than good.
Myth 4: Stretching will help to avoid injuries
Recent studies have shown that there will be no benefit from stretching, including stretching without first warming up, and the chances of getting injured will only increase.
Myth 5: All calories are the same.
Healthy natural food our body digests differently than semi-finished products.
Foods containing less than 5 calories are considered “calorie-free.”
Myth 6: You should drink 8 glasses of water every day
This is not necessary, just drink when you feel thirsty, and until the urine becomes clear.
Myth 7: The more we sweat, the more fat we burn.
Our body sweats in order to cool the body. If we sweat, it just means we're hot.
