Scientists have found a simple way to recover after training

Increased physical activity requires a certain recovery time after them. While fitness instructors recommend drinking protein shakes to make the process go faster, scientists believe there is a natural alternative.
Researchers at several wellness centers in Greece followed 15 athletes for two months, recording their vital signs (pulse, pressure, body temperature, blood sugar) before, during and after their training. Nine of them drank a glass of tomato juice after each workout, and six drank a protein or energy shake. The results showed that those nine athletes who drank juice reported faster muscle recovery. Their blood glucose levels also returned to normal. The fact is that tomatoes contain an element called lycopene, which, according to scientists, contributes to this process. Tomatoes have long gained fame as a fruit that is especially useful in diseases such as cancer and heart disease due to their high content of anti-oxidants.
