Energy in Indian electricity from caterpillars

Indian scientists have made an unprecedented discovery. Today, the ambitious project is still not finished, however, the results of the work should be very soon presented and published in all major scientific journals. The fact is that India has proposed the use of silkworm larvae to produce electricity.

Some of the details regarding the study already known. According to preliminary data, treated with a special solution containing ions of copper and aluminum silk cocoons can generate electricity. The combination of several of the cocoons allows to significantly increase the volume of the energy produced. The only problem is the fragility of the material and mortar.

It is worth noting that silk have long attracted scientists as a material that can be used to generate electricity. So, a group of scientists from the University of California, USA, analyzing the achievements of their Indian colleagues suggested that a similar effect can be obtained when using almost any absorbent material.

Today, electrochemistry is not the most studied field. Some scientists-enthusiasts believe that research in this direction could help to solve mankind problem a lot if not energy, then at least with her savings. Getting electricity from this clean and relatively simple source would be a major achievement in the field of "green" energy, but until the method can provide industrial-scale energy supply, he is likely to remain conceptual.published
