Creamy toffee

Have you ever wondered why Fudge called butterscotch? There is a version that this name milk candy gave one French pastry chef, who worked in St. Petersburg at the beginning of the last century. French romantic noticed the similarity of the toffee with the petals of the iris.

 


Recipe

To prepare toffees at home is easy! We will need:

20 g butter;
100 g of powdered sugar;
100 ml of milk;
1 tbsp liquid honey

A few simple steps:

1. Melt the butter over low heat in a saucepan with a thick bottom.

2. Add the powdered sugar and spread the mixture with a fork. Pour in the honey and stir.

3. Heat the milk and add it to the mixture.

4. Stir and simmer 25-30 minutes, stirring constantly.

5. When the mass will acquire a dark Golden color, pour it on the forms. With this silicone mold should not be lubricated, ice-cube molds pre-lubricate with vegetable oil without smell.

6. Allow the toffee to cool and harden.
