All Dutch trains will switch to wind energy in three years

In the Netherlands, by 2018 it is planned to transfer to wind energy 100% electric. Energy will be supplied from wind farms, located in the Netherlands, Scandinavia and Belgium.

Dutch rail carrier in 2014 signed a contract with the company engaged in the production of electricity from alternative sources.

In 2015, wind energy employs about half of all trains. According to the document, 2016 for an alternative source of energy will move 70% of trains and, in 2018 all electric trains in the Netherlands will switch to renewable resources.

Thus, the Dutch government plans to significantly reduce carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere, because the Dutch had recently sued their government. They require by 2020 to reduce CO2 emissions by 25% compared to 1990.published
