Twenty-eight years have passed since the world heard a terrible, incomprehensible news that the explosion destroyed the fourth unit of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
Peaceful Atom is out of human control. Since then, the word "Chernobyl" has become synonymous not only unheard of man-made disaster, but also the unprecedented courage and heroism of thousands of people: firefighters, military personnel, employees of Chernobyl, mobilized militia civil defense workers, engineers, scientists, and anyone who was involved in the liquidation of the accident and its consequences. Today, twenty-eight years later, we are proud of their courage, patriotism, stamina, dedication for the future. It is thanks to their efforts, the nuclear disaster has receded.
We bow our heads before the heroes of Chernobyl, who have fulfilled their duty to the country and the people. Anyone who is not with us - cherished memory. Akimov Alexander Fedorovich - shift supervisor of the 4th unit of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant
