Fasting-diet therapy Professor ys Nikolaev

As a therapeutic tool fasting should always be dosed without driving the man to exhaustion, so Professor ys Nikolaev indicates that the used method is not just medical starvation, and fasting-diet therapy (RDT) that includes a number of procedures that promote the excretion of toxic products (enema, shower, massage, long walks in the fresh air, breathing exercises, etc.). The fasting is accompanied by equal time recovery period.

RDT is a non — specific, i.e. biological health-building method, mobilizing and increasing the body's defenses, which enables you to use it to treat a wide range of diseases including somatic, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, painful joints, respiratory system, skin, allergies, obesity etc. Professor Y. S. Nikolaev with success was to apply the method of RDT for treatment and return to work, and lives with a number of mental diseases — a slow form of schizophrenia, some anxiety, etc. RDT gave positive results in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis.

A very important question about the nature of the RDT method. Dosed fasting leads to a sharp increase dissimilatory processes for destruction and excretion from the organisms of all the excess toxins that clog it interferes with normal functioning. This applies, above all, pathological deposits and formations, e.g. salt deposits, excess fat, toxic products of metabolism etc.

Freed of toxins, the body switches to endogenous nourishment by breaking down its own fats, carbohydrates and proteins of certain organs and tissues, but almost does not affect such vital organs as the heart and brain. This process of intensive destruction of tissues, cells and molecules is accompanied by the strengthening of regenerative processes at the molecular, cellular and tissue levels, and leads to renewal and as if the rejuvenation of the whole body and all its organs. Therefore, there is reason to consider the method of RDT method of stimulation of physiological regeneration.

This method is fully consistent with the data of the doctrine of regeneration, which is also in all cases, reparative and physiological regeneration has two phases: destruction and recovery. In both cases, the destruction phase is characterized by a predominance of protein breakdown and nucleic acids on the synthesis, transport aerobic respiration to glycolysis, a shift in pH to the acid side, acidosis. The recovery phase in both cases is characterized by the predominance of the synthesis of proteins and nucleic acids over their breakup, the transition to aerobic respiration with glycolysis, returning the pH to neutral condition, the disappearance of the acidosis.

Acidosis with fasting, as the authors point out, causes recovery processes, in particular, contributes to fixing the cells of the body CO2 air, CO2 in this carbon is converted to carbon in organic compounds; better the carboxylation of nucleic acids, which in turn provides a comprehensive synthesis of amino acids and other protein compounds. Thus, fasting can be seen as a natural factor of stimulation of physiological regeneration, leading to the renewal and rejuvenation of cells, tissues, molecules and the chemical composition of the whole body.

RDT method can be successfully applied not only for treatment but also for prevention of diseases, moreover — to extend the health and lifespan of humans and animals. A very expressive example of the way of life and longevity of people of Hunza in Northern India. The people of this tribe live to be 110-120 years while maintaining performance. They are starving every year for two months and eat vitamin-rich plant foods, especially apricots.

At this stage of development of medical science, despite its huge achievements, there are still a number of diseases, especially chronic, when conventional treatments do not produce positive effect or when long-term medication there is intolerance to pharmacological agents. In these cases, we have to marvel at the effect of RDT.

Currently, the problems of fasting does many scientists. Over the last two decades defended three doctoral and twenty six master's theses on the issue of fasting-diet therapy (RDT). The term of study of this subject is already considerable and the method has scientific basis: the first doctoral dissertation was protected by more than a quarter of a century ago, in 1960. In addition, in recent years, improved methods of treatment of various chronic diseases. Soviet scientists have obtained several patents for inventions in the field of RDT.

Methodical recommendations for treatment by this method of nervous and mental diseases, alcoholism, bronchial asthma (including those with a complicated course of sarcoidosis respiratory, hypertension). There are a number of scientific papers that show the possibility of successful application of fasting with hormone-dependent conditions, as well as in complicated cardiovascular diseases, at separate system lesions of the connective tissue.

Call in chronological order the most significant works and activities for the further development of RDT.

In 1969 the Moscow research Institute of psychiatry MZ RSFSR has published the great book "Problem of medical starvation". Part one — "the Clinic of medical starvation" (under the editorship of Professor J. S. Nikolaev); the second part — "Neurophysiology of hunger and satiety" (under edition of academician P. K. Anokhin); part three — "Pathophysiology of starvation" (under edition of academician AMN the USSR A. I. Fedorova); part four — "the Biochemistry of starvation" (under edition of academician AMN the USSR A. A. Pokrovsky).

Methodological letters and recommendations for RDT were published by the Ministry of health from 1975 to 1985.

In 1980 in Moscow city clinical hospital No. 68 opened a Department with 40 beds for the treatment of somatic patients. The Department is successfully operates to this day.

In the plan of studies, the Institute of nutrition Academy of medical Sciences of the USSR in the years 1986-1988 was included the theme "Biological, physiological, and morphological study of the mechanism of action of starvation on the body (clinical-experimental study)".

Created by the center for the study and introduction in medical practice of the method of fasting-diet therapy. Thus, the natural biological method of RDT tested for decades on thousands of patients and gave good results, on the right is made the object of serious scientific research and is taken into service practical medicine.published
