The dog did not leave his friend in trouble for two days
It happened in the city of Fulton (Georgia, USA). The animal welfare organization Lifeline Animal Project got a call saying the dog was stuck in the fence.
Staff arrived at the scene and saw two dogs by the wire fence. The paw of one of them (it turned out to be a bitch) was stuck in the wire fence, the dog was nearby.
It is reported that the dog barked for about two days, without leaving his girlfriend, which attracted the attention of people who called the rescuers.
The dogs were named Athena and Zeus. They were placed in one cage - when Athena was first taken away and put in a van, Zeus began to nervously and whine loudly until he was allowed to visit a friend. Eyewitnesses say that Zeus licked Athena’s swollen finger.
The lovers were taken to an animal shelter. According to veterinarians, there were no serious injuries to the victim. Shelter staff do not want to separate the couple and are looking for dogs one home.
