The algae used in the preparation of sushi and rolls, due to the very high content of iodine have a strong and, unfortunately, the negative impact on the thyroid gland.

Experts estimate a roll can contain up to 92 micrograms of iodine. Meanwhile, the recommended daily intake of iodine is 150 micrograms. Excessive consumption of iodine can cause hyperthyroidism, the thyroid gland.
