Corporation Google, or rather, its division Google X, has launched a new, quite interesting project: the creation of a database of thousands of samples of genes and molecular structures of different people, to construct a "map" absolutely healthy person. The base will serve as a model genome / tissue 175, the first volunteers, and later the company will add thousands of new samples.

The project was called Baseline Study, and his only goal now - to show all of us what is the absolute health.

The project team will gather a wealth of information, which, according to the authors of the project will help in the future to identify the disease at sampling through pattern / indicator of a particular disease. These patterns specialists will be able to get after processing of all received information in the course of the project. Head of the project was the Conrad MD Andrew (Andrew Conrad), which currently assembles a team of about a hundred experts from different fields, including physiology, biochemistry, optics, molecular biology. Earlier, Andrew Conrad helped develop an inexpensive and practical test for HIV donor plasma samples.

The Project Baseline will be used by the processing power of Google's computer systems to identify "biomarkers" in the information to be collected, which will serve as an indicator of the presence or absence of certain diseases / abnormalities. The authors of the project plan to learn to identify those markers before the disease becomes life-threatening (and now mainly determined by the markers after the entry of the disease into the heavy phase).

The project has begun, and the samples of genetic material selected from 175 volunteers (mainly selected fluids including tears). Samples received in the base completely anonymous, the clinic hired for selection, the report does not include information such as names or social security numbers.

Genome of each person involved in the research will be sequenced, decoded and analyzed (of course, such an analysis will be carried out by computer systems, people simply unable to keep track of such arrays of information). At the same time it is also planned to record how quickly the body metabolizes a particular person food and medicines, as the human heartbeat quickens during times of stress and some other parameters.

It is unclear whether the ratio of the project to Calico, a subsidiary of Google, conduct studies on longevity. It may well be that it has.
