An inspiring example for Russia

Recently, a court in the Pakistani city of Lahore sentenced a Christian Sawan Masih to death for blasphemy.

Denunciation of the plumbing from the Christian Quarter (who allegedly said bad words about the Prophet) went to the police March 7, 2013 by his Muslim friend, a barber named Shahid Imran. The reason for the denunciation may become some dispute between friends - and maybe the dispute and was not just a mullah in the mosque told Shahid to make pleasing to God and to inform on neighbor, a Christian, to create a pretext for long-planned massacre with the infidels.

Local police worked with the usual signal for the urgency of such cases: immediately after the denunciation of the "blasphemy" Sawan Masih was arrested. But snitch complained not only to the police: Mulla, has advised him to appeal, too, was aware of the complaint. And the next day, a crowd of several thousand armed thugs-Muslims (among whom was the same hairdresser scammer) broke into Joseph Colony Lahore - Quarter, home to local Catholics. The pogrom lasted from morning to evening, the result has been burned 178 houses, 18 shops and 2 churches (of the quarter totaled 200 buildings). Hundreds of colonies were displaced - and they remain to this day.

Here, of course, you will notice that the current Russian law on criminal responsibility for blasphemy is one not yet executed. And what is written in it, even the equality of the individual denominations. So in fact in Pakistan also did not immediately become so, as it is now. First also laws to protect the feelings of believers, as if to have any religion, and death if they did not provide. And then came to power a real Colonel Zia, and there could write an article 295-C of the Pakistani Criminal Code, dedicated specifically to the Prophet Muhammad - and it has already been spelled "vyshechka," as would a Russian colleague and collaborator Zia ul-Haq.

The trouble is that the "religious feelings" of any denomination in relation to other religions very accurately expressed by the formula of published couple of days ago a smash hit Joan Bichevskaya: and tear to shreds, praising the Lord. The destiny of the civilized state - similar to restrain the feelings of believers, declaring them illegal and contrasting them constitutional values, such as freedom of speech and conscience. When the state instead converted into a club to fight against blasphemy, sacrilege, blasphemy, and even religions - such a state will inevitably become a blunt instrument for obscurantist cannibalism. This did not have an example of Pussy Riot, he is invited to look at an example of a progressive Pakistan.
