"Ohta" ... The first and the last concept car of the USSR 80.

(7 photos ...! ...)
The car "Ohta" built in 1986-87-ies Leningrad advanced prototyping laboratory of cars from the US. Chassis - not outstanding: on the job, use the suspension and the engine + box from the VAZ-2108, and the most recent "progressive" Soviet machine at the time.

(TTX - I do not know the quality of some of the staff - sorry!)

"Highlight" of the project was the line-up machines. It is now all over the world rolled "Zafira" and "Jazz", and in the mid-80s of the last century even such a thing as a "compact van" did not exist! It was the concept of "OLA" - Versatile high capacity. And the capacity of "Ohta" with dimensions "Zhiguli" was considerable: 7 people! Seats front row rotated 180 deg., And the average number of folds into a convenient and a "table". At the same time, thanks to the easily removable seats, the car could be a seven-seater, and "bus" and double "wagon."
