Species wolves
There are seven species of wolves, and seventeen species of the gray wolf, resulting in 24 species. Shown here:
Gray Wolf - the most common species, is typically referred to "wolf". There are several species of wolf. These include:
Arctic Wolf - this type is not on the verge of extinction, the population is stable and employs approximately 500 individuals.
Arabian Wolf - This species is endangered - there were 20 individuals, and 20 in zoos
Eastern Wolf - This species is in danger of destruction, have less than 1000 individuals
Eurasian wolf - a species is not endangered
Italian Wolf - This species is on the brink of destruction, less than 100 individuals left in the world. Deforestation in which he lives, leads to the disappearance of their habitat.
Makenzensky Wolf - also known as the Mountain Wolf, Alaskan or Canadian forest. The direct relative of our forest wolf, but because of the specific environmental conditions has a thick coat and a whitish color, remaining even in the summer.

Hokkaido Wolf - one of the two types of the Japanese wolf. Officially, disappeared in 1889
Honshu wolf - the second type of Japanese wolf, also disappeared. Officially, disappeared in 1905
Prehistoric wolf. It is estimated that disappeared about 10,000 years ago
Newfoundland Wolf - officially disappeared in 1911.
