Ideal Fluid
The perfect liquid - in hydrodynamics - imaginary incompressible fluid, in which the absence of viscosity and thermal conductivity. Since there is no internal friction, there is no shear stresses between two adjacent layers of fluid.
Model of an ideal fluid used in the theoretical analysis of problems in which the viscosity is not the determining factor and can be neglected. In particular, this idealization is acceptable in many cases, the flow of fluid mechanics under consideration, and gives a good description of the real flows of liquids and gases at a sufficient distance from the washed solid surfaces and interfaces with fixed media. Mathematical description of the ideal fluid flow allows you to find the theoretical solution of a number of problems on the motion of liquids and gases in the channels of various shapes, at the expiration of the jets and the flow around bodies.
