In the USSR, there was a strong watch industry. Soviet watches not only has the original design, but also could compete in accuracy with renowned Swiss movements. Prior to 1991, the Union worked about ten plants that together produced up to hundreds of watch brands. Special attention should watch for military pilots and astronauts. Manufacturers such mechanisms applied considerable effort and time to get really worth the sample. And the demand for them was, and remained, believe me, serious.
