Clerics of the largest Buddhist temples in Japan are making prohibiting the sale of sweets called "snot out of the nose of the Great Buddha» («Snot from the nose of the Great Buddha»). On the packaging of candy depicted Buddha calmly picking his nose.

Priests have already made such a refusal to register a trademark in the patent office. Now they are trying to ban the sale of sweets in the ancient capital of Nara, which is famous for its ancient temples and Buddha statues, attracts crowds of tourists.
