In terms of numbers, meat consumption should be reduced from 300-600 g to 70 g per week. According to the organization, a person will eat 300 grams of meat per month, not a week. Hence the comparison that this amount of meat is exactly equal to one serving of currywurst per month.

Can we expect the Germans to consume less meat in the long run? Experts say that this depends on the personal responsibility of each citizen of the country and external factors that affect it. For example, the financial component of life.

But that's interesting! Customers who have DGE certification must adhere to the organization’s recommendations. If they do not, they may lose their certificates. At the same time, establishments that have fewer meat positions can simply lose their customers.
