Pastroma - a dish of Jewish cuisine, which can often be seen in the Moldovan or Romanian menu. Pastroma is prepared from beef, pork, chicken, turkey and even horse meat. The meat is marinated, seasoned with spices (most often spicy) and smoked. Pastroma is served to the table thinly sliced as a meat snack. First of all, this dish is a wonderful alternative to store sausage.





Chicken Pastroma Ingredients
  • 2 chicken breasts or 1 turkey breast
  • 250g of water
  • 100g soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tsp pepper mixture


Preparation
  1. In a deep pan pour water, then add soy sauce and salt. Place the meat in a container and leave it for 2 hours.


  2. Get the chicken meat out of the brine and dry a little with paper towels.


  3. Drain the fillet with garlic, then smear with a mixture of vegetable oil and pepper.


  4. Tie the chicken breasts with a culinary thread, and then place the foil-covered pan on the pan. Bake the meat in the oven at 250 degrees for about 20 minutes.


  5. After cooking, do not open the door of the oven and do not take out the meat. Let the pastroma brew for another 4 hours to be ready.
