Cucumbers with French mustard cook according to the recipe of the Ukrainian hostess Lilia Zvit. They are sour and sweet, moderately sharp and crispy.

Cucumbers with French mustard Ingredients per liter jar
  • 400g cucumbers
  • 1 tbsp French mustard
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp vinegar

  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 slices of chili pepper
  • 0.5 tsp scented pepper


Preparation
  1. Cucumbers soak in cold water for an hour. After that, trim the tails from the cucumbers and put them on the plate.



  2. At the bottom of a clean washed jar, lay out a bay leaf and half a teaspoon of pepper with peas. You can take both a mixture of peppers and fragrant pepper.



  3. Also add crushed cloves of garlic and slices of red chili pepper. And now the highlight of the recipe is French mustard. It should be added 1 tablespoon for each can.



  4. Then fill the jar with pre-prepared cucumbers. On top of them pour salt (better to take stone), sugar and vinegar. Pour each jar with boiling water, and then do not close tightly with lids.



  5. The sterilization pot was covered with gauze or cloth so that the banks did not crack. Put out cans of cucumbers and then pour hot water into the pan. Put them sterilized on the fire. Keep about 5 minutes from boiling water in the jar. By the way, I want to draw your attention to the fact that you do not always need to focus on time, also look at the color of cucumbers. If they start to darken, no more sterilization is necessary. That way, you can't digest cucumbers, and the jar won't rise in storage.
