Any educated person can easily find
Morocco on the map. But if you ask me to tell you more about this country, then besides the name of the capital and the neighborhood with Spain and the Atlantic Ocean, nothing comes to mind. But those who have lived in Morocco, have something to tell about this rather interesting country.
And today's edition.
"Site" She will share the story of a traveler who not only visited this North African country, but also stayed here. And in a couple of years has discovered a lot of interesting features that will surely surprise our readers.
I moved to Morocco a little over two years ago. Many things in this country struck me to the core, and some things I still haven’t been able to get used to. And I want to tell you what conditions my Moroccan everyday life is in. After all, people from the post-Soviet space rarely move to this country, Anastasia writes.
“The first thing that surprised me was that even a small family could afford a housekeeper. Human labour is, unfortunately, valued very little, so the services of a housekeeper cost little money.”
For example, my mother-in-law, who lives in a provincial town, only pays 200 euros a month for housework. In larger cities (or in affluent areas), a single housekeeper visit will cost around 20 euros. This includes assistance with cleaning and cooking.”
Men's cafes surprised me and a large number of men's cafes. They're literally at every turn. And even though women are not prohibited from entering here, unofficially these institutions are considered exclusively male. And, in truth, a lady here is unlikely to be comfortable sitting next to men who are wrapped in smoke and very loudly discussing women.
Knowledgeable people say that the revenue of such establishments in our town does not always exceed 1,000 euros per month. And most of all it is possible to earn during football matches. It is these events that Moroccan men prefer to follow in cafes with like-minded people.”
“But homeless animals are treated badly here, and it is quite frustrating. And if in Turkey, even cats living on the streets please the well-groomed appearance, then in Morocco the situation is quite different. Dogs and cats look very sad. And when you try to feed them or caress them, they prefer to run away. It is obvious that they do not see a good attitude towards themselves here. Sadly ...”
“Fast snacks are incredibly popular. For sandwiches line up at any time of the day. And drink this useless food even more useless coke. Also in honor among the inhabitants of Morocco Mexican tacos – corn cakes with meat or vegetables”.
“But what is most surprising is that the Moroccans love it.”
midnight. Dinner at 11 or 12 p.m. is the norm. And then they sincerely wonder where they have health problems and extra pounds.
“When I first moved, I was amazed that there were many people around me who could not swim or even go to the beach. Although they live, I recall, on the Atlantic coast. And if you want, you can go on vacation to the Mediterranean Sea. The spouse, for example, considers the ocean dirty, so it is simply impossible to drag it into the water. It is amazing how people do not appreciate what they have on their side, Anastasia wonders.
The last paragraph is particularly funny. But you can see the same thing here. People who live near the sea may not go to the beach for years, but want, for example, to go to the forest for mushrooms. And people who live near the forest are often not interested in mushrooms at all, but they save money for months to go to the sea.
It's amazing, isn't it?
