The boy is only 12 years old, but such a young age does not prevent him from doing unchildish craft. He makes wood products with his own hands. And in this case, the child succeeded.

And as a prize, the young carpenter offered a wooden bowl that he made. In fact, this is a joke with a good purpose. People donated any amount of money, and then the boy, along with his parents, randomly determined the winner. The cup will be sent to its new owner as an Easter gift.

Gabriel wanted to raise £5,000. He did not expect anything more than that. The final donation amounted to £243,000. On the site, which records donations, it was possible to watch the replenishment of the charitable treasury in real time.

His collection Clark called “Bowl For Ukraine”, which in Russian means “Bowl for Ukraine”. On a wooden bowl made by the hands of a boy, you can see 2 stripes: blue and yellow. They symbolize the Ukrainian flag. It is touching that Gabriel thought through his work to the smallest detail.

The proceeds from the draw were automatically transferred to the account of the charity Save the Children. It raises funds for disadvantaged children in all corners of the world.

Earlier for not the most trivial hobby the boy was mocked. His father decided to tell his followers on Twitter about his son's hobby. The story so impressed followers of the man that on the same day, the page of Gabriel in Instagram was torn from new subscriptions and likes.

But Gabriel became a real celebrity during a charity gathering. He became so infected on the Internet that even celebrities began to talk about young talent. For example, famous actors Stephen Fry and Jason Isaacs. Today, 249,000 people are following Clark Jr.’s work. Think of it!

Just a week ago, Gabriel and his father were guests of the morning show “BBC Breakfast”, where they spoke about their initiative. The young carpenter also managed to give several television and radio interviews. In addition, Clark’s charity gathering was reported in British news ITV News.

To date, more than 2 million children have been forced to leave Ukraine to escape. Another 2.5 million young Ukrainians became internally displaced. According to official data, 205 children died because of the war in Ukraine, another 362 children were injured. Unfortunately, these numbers continue to grow every day.

Ukrainians appreciate the contribution of every caring person who helps them in this difficult time. The noble act of Gabriel Clark and his parents touches to the core. We are confident that this is another small but confident step towards the well-deserved and long-awaited victory of the Ukrainian people.

The full-scale war unleashed by Russia against Ukraine has lasted for 54 days. However, Ukrainians do not lose faith in the best, and their morale is only getting stronger. May peace come as soon as possible!
