"Christmas" begins to cook in May, when the first strawberry excites the aroma, and in December I begin to filter, invite to the table.

Ruby, sweet, intoxicating berry liqueur perfectly warms and cheers up in winter evenings. And in order not to buy this drink in the store for fabulous money, you can make it at home.



As the basis of the recipe, we took a Christmas liqueur, which we often call “Christmas” or just assorty pouring. It is prepared for a long time, from May to December. But it is not worth rushing in this matter. After all, every month the infusion absorbs all new tastes of seasonal berries, becoming a real intoxicating symbol of the past summer.

Berry liquor Ingredients
  • 250g strawberries
  • 250g sugar
  • 250 ml strong drink
  • 250g redcurrant
  • 250g sugar
  • 250 ml strong drink
  • 250g cherries
  • 250g sugar
  • 250 ml strong drink
  • 250g blackcurrant
  • 250g sugar
  • 250 ml strong drink
  • 250g blueberries
  • 250g sugar
  • 250 ml strong drink


Preparation
  1. The idea is to add seedless berries to the drink as they mature.
  2. Add 250 grams of strawberries, a glass of sugar and vodka to a three-liter jar. Close the jar with a lid and leave it in a dark dry place, such as a pantry, until other berries appear.


  3. Do the same procedure with red currants, add sugar and a strong drink. Close the jar and leave it in a dark, dry place.


  4. About the ripening of the berries in the same way add cherries, black currants and blueberries to the liquor. If desired, you can replace these berries with others or add your favorite fruits. There are no restrictions in this recipe. That's why it's called an assortment.


  5. In December, start straining the drink. Carefully throw the contents of the jar on the cord so as not to damage the berries. Sprinkled with sugar, they are an exquisite treat in themselves.


  6. Filter the liquor through several layers of gauze and cotton candy.


  7. The finished drink is bottled, hermetically closed with lids.

Serve the Christmas liquor by throwing a few ripe berries into the glass or a stick of spicy cinnamon. And don't forget to invite a group of friends to the tasting.
