I just love going out of town with my husband and daughter. We have our own car, so we can afford to get out of nature from time to time. In addition, we often go to the dacha to my husband's parents.



Previously, the mother-in-law got there on her own: by bus or by train. But when we got a car, it always came to us to take it. I don’t mind helping my family, but sometimes a family car ride turns into hell.

I usually give my mother-in-law my seat in the front seat. She doesn't want to drive in the back because she's afraid. I never understood it because it is safer in the back. There's no argument my husband's mother makes. He wants to be in the front, even if you crack!



I often get sick in the back seat. I was patient because I didn't want to fight with my mother-in-law. But last weekend was different. We were going to the cottage, and I started to feel bad. My head was sore and overall my condition was not the best. I got in the front seat because it would get worse in the back. It wasn't until my mother-in-law came that she started demanding that I make room for her.

I tried to explain the situation: Maria Alexandrovna, I feel bad. I get sick in the back seat, I can't go there today.” For a couple of seconds the mother-in-law was silent, and then indignantly replied: “You know, Allochka, this is not possible.” I'm older, so I'll sit wherever I want!



Then my husband intervened in the conversation: “No, Mom, you won’t.” Can't you see how pale Alla is? She's sick, and she won't sit in the back just because you wanted her to.” My mother-in-law clearly didn't expect her son to protect me. It was like she swallowed her tongue and just left.

Maria Alexandrovna did not answer our calls. It turned out that the mother-in-law went to the country by bus. At the dacha, she didn't talk to us, pretended that we didn't exist. The father-in-law did not climb into our vicissitudes, apparently, once again he did not want to anger his wife.



It's been a week since that day, and my mother-in-law still resents me and my husband. She must be waiting for our apology. But we don’t see our fault in anything. I honestly don't understand why people think that because of their age they can do whatever they want. You can't change your mind!

A large number of mature people really believe that their age affects something. If you live a lifetime, you automatically become smarter than others. Of course, everyone has to respect him. But is that really true?

No, no, don't think about it, we're not in any way asking you to disparage old people. We just need to remember that A person can behave inappropriately at any age.. He may also be wrong, and his arguments for age usually prove it. Because there are no others.



Perhaps the main character of the story will have to accept the fact that her mother-in-law belongs to this category of people. And, most likely, over the years, this will only get worse. So it is best to once again not to climb on the edge and avoid conflict situations in the future.
