Hutsul salad recipe with beets

Hutsul is an ethnic group of Ukrainians, which is famous for its culture and delicious. We will talk about one of the Hutsul dishes today. Salad "Shuhi" is one of the 12 mandatory Christmas dishes of Western Ukraine.

Beet salad with garlic Ingredients in this snack is quite a bit, but their combination will definitely conquer you. Of course, garlic and mayonnaise more suitable for the New Year's Eve feast, but we still recommend you to try to prepare the option with butter and mushrooms.





For this recipe, it is desirable to use subberezoviki or podsinoviki. They perfectly emphasize the taste of beets and garlic.





The ingredients
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 small bulbs
  • 200g dried mushrooms
  • 500g beet
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • sugar


Preparation
  1. Beets for this dish should be baked. Wash it thoroughly, grease it lightly with vegetable oil and wrap it in foil. Bake at 180 degrees for about 60 minutes.



  2. Onions should be cut as finely and thoroughly roasted in olive oil.



  3. Dried mushrooms must be pre-soaked. After that, boil them for 10 minutes. Chilled mushrooms cut with straw.



  4. Also cut and baked beets. Mix the finished ingredients in a container, add garlic, salt and pepper to taste.



  5. Fill the salad with olive oil and lemon juice. Add some sugar and let it brew for 10 minutes. Bon appetit!
