I prepare for the feast of myrrh-bearers in advance, I know what every woman needs to do on the holy day.

Many people do not know what exists. peace-bearer. This is an Orthodox women’s day, which is celebrated on the second Sunday after Easter. The women who dedicated their lives to Christ and witnessed his crucifixion were true heroines, strong and faithful.

Faithfulness to Jesus Christ was the main reason for the spiritual rebirth of these women. Among them were Mary Magdalene, Salome, John, Martha, Susannah and others. All these women were not afraid to be with their mentor in his most difficult hours. And the day after the crucifixion, they came to the burial place to take care of the deceased Jesus.

Mary Magdalene came before dawn and discovered that the stone that had closed the entrance had been destroyed. Not finding her beloved teacher inside her body, she burst into tears. Then Christ appeared to her and asked her to tell everyone about his resurrection.

Why myrrh-bearing wives? Women brought myrrh to the resting place of Christ to anoint the body of Jesus according to Eastern tradition. They were the only ones who were not afraid to come and honor their memory. All the other disciples of Jesus fled in terror and fear of the Jewish authorities.

Prayer to myrrh-bearing women O blessed wives, holy myrrh-bearers, peace of Christ in your hearts bearing! Let us honor your faithfulness, for at the Cross of the Lord stand undeterred. We appease and more zealously according to Boza, your zeal is moved to the grave of the fluid with peace to anoint the buried Lord. We glorify pure love, for the sake of the risen Lord first appear to you and fulfill with the joy of your heart.
