My husband’s family recently received a wedding invitation. My husband's sister is getting married. The people will be dark: about 70 people, all relatives and acquaintances were invited. But when I opened the invitation, I was terribly upset. It just didn't have my name on it.

Dima and I have been living together for 7 years. It is true that his parents still consider their son single. My father-in-law, my mother-in-law, and my husband's sister ignore me. I don’t know why I didn’t like my family so much. But over the years, they haven't invited me to any family event.

But Dima's relatives were pissed off. They did not want their son to feed someone else’s child. The only solution was to stop all communication. I never asked for anything from them, and I don’t want it to this day. But I just don't understand where this aggression comes from.

Mother-in-law and father-in-law live according to outdated canons. They always think about what people will say. Their son’s happiness doesn’t seem to matter. I thought things would change when we had a baby together. A year and a half ago I gave birth to a daughter, their granddaughter. However, the situation has not changed at all. Moreover, they saw our Aniutka once in their lives and are not interested in her at all.



I know you won't be violently nice. But why does my husband’s sister, my age, behave the same way as my parents? I didn't do anything wrong, I didn't say a crooked word. And me and the kids continue to be ignored.



In general, I was very upset and gave my husband an ultimatum on emotions. Either we're going to his sister's wedding together, or he's not going anywhere at all. I want Dima to protect me for once! I'm his wife, not the street girl, after all!

In this story, everything was clear until the moment with an ultimatum. Of course, Tamara's resentment is understandable. However, this is no reason to behave in this way.
