The wise Jewish parable about what actually people

One Jew came to the Rebbe and asked:

— Rabbi, I don't understand why poor people are so kind and always willing to help to the best of their ability? And the rich do not notice the requests for assistance and don't see anyone around. Surely they are so blinded by the wealth?

The Rabbi asked the man to look out the window and asked what he sees at the moment.

— I see there is a girl walking with her son, and people hurrying about their business. — the man answered.

Great. And now look here in this mirror. What do you see?

— Of course, I see myself.

And the fact that the mirror and the window is plain glass. But if you add a little bit of silver, then one begins to see, only myself.
