Interesting facts about sweat

In the human body contains approximately 2-4 million sweat glands, which are located in the outer dermal tissue. Most of these glands contains in the region of the hands, feet, underarms and groin. Remarkably, in the men's sweat the number of unpleasant-smelling, volatile carboxylic acids is the same as in the female, but the water in it contains more, so the strong half of humanity sweat more.

The allocation of one liter of sweat dissipates about 540 calories, with the result that the skin is cooled and cools the blood that flows through it.

The smell of male and female sweat is different. This is because the skin of each sex on their mind microorganisms.



On average, a healthy human body emit in a day 300-800 milliliters of sweat, and at elevated temperature and physical load — up to 1.5 liters.

Studies have shown that hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) affects up to 15% of the world population.

Asians have less long than Europeans and Africans.

Interestingly, moist skin sweating less due to the fact that the Horny layer swells and the gland narrowed. But this does not apply to the axillary troughs.

 

In children before puberty sweat almost no smell.

In Hippo sweat contains a red and orange pigments that absorb ultraviolet radiation, and acts on the skin of the animal, as sunscreen.

Human sweat consists of 90% water and has no odor. The smell comes not from sweat, but from its connection with the bacteria that live closer to the surface of the skin and on it.
