The Korean technological company LG Electronics works over own smartwatch which will compete to decisions of Apple, Samsung Electronics and Google being in development. Smart watches of these brands no one has ever seen, but all of them speak.

A source close to the matter told the newspaper The Korea Times that the South Korean LG Electronics is developing a wristwatch the next generation, and is preparing another innovative product, similar to the glasses Google Glass, which has already managed to make enemies. New products will be part of a strategy to strengthen the position of LG in the IT industry.

"This product is one of many products of LG Electronics which are not yet commercialized and are under development. The company does not spend money on investing in products that will help it to remain a market leader, regardless of the situation", — said the source.

The source declined to comment on the question regarding the operating system under which to work the new gadget. The most likely contenders are Android and Firefox. At the recent Mobile World Congress in Barcelona LG Electronics announced that it plans to release a phone running Firefox OS. The company believes that technological level of development it is not inferior to its competitors, in particular Samsung Electronics.

It is worth noting that in 2009, LG Electronics released a smartphone-compatible wristwatch with the function of receiving text messages.

"All the information on smart watches, which today appears in the media, aimed at awakening public interest in the product, the release of which is not indicated. The market needs to Mature, and the demand to be strong. Not all patented ideas and concepts coming to the market," says LG is not associated with the source.

According to the head of one of the suppliers of components for Samsung, both Korean firms have a competitive advantage over such companies as Apple, in the production of displays for "smart" hours. LG and Samsung in control of all the necessary for the production of smartwatch components. But Apple and Google depend on Korean and Japanese suppliers displays. Each in his degree.

But will the smartwatch be sold with the same speed as smartphones? Everything will depend on the price that will set manufacturers.

South Korean companies already have the technology to create flexible displays, which can take the form of a wristwatch.
